Day Five

Today it is ridiculously inhumanely freezing.
At the moment it is -9C
It snowed/iced a lot last night, and I slipped over this morning, but didn't hurt myself or anything.
Today was sort of productive; we went to the mall on the bus- it took like, 40 mins to get there. There were barely any people there- like maybe 20 in the whole mall? We bought pizza for brunch and it was huuuuge.




After that, we bought some new towels for the bathroom and headed back to the apartment. Did some more of our puzzle and went to the laundromat.






This was about 5pm, by the way, after laundry doing, we walked to the supermarket and bought things to bake cookies and soup etc for tea. We used the self checkout thing, but some crazy lady left it in Spanish, and we had no idea what the heck we were doing. It ended up taking like, 15 minutes to put through a couple dozen items and the grocery lady had to come and help us; she was really nice though :)

We tried to steal the shopping trolley but by the time we got to the end of the carpark, the wheels had jammed up and it wouldn't move- it had like a safety lock thing on it; we're getting a wrench tomorrow xD
It's not stealing if you bring it back.

The walk home was long and cold and the bags were very heavy because we'd forgotten to drop the washing home first; trying to save on trips out etc, you know. When we got home, we made dinner- tomato soup and grilled cheese (toasted cheese sandwiches). When we were putting the groceries away, we discovered that the mouse is a pig and had eaten a hole in our bag of bagels and one of our scones. I decided to leave the half eaten ones in the bottom of the pantry, in case it decides to come back, so it can eat those instead of anything else- much to Train's dismay.

We're going to bake peanut butter blossom cookies later tonight we bought more peanut butter cups, too. Still haven't managed to find a cellphone though. :(

It's cold, but at least the apartment has central heating.
