Day 44: Fri 23 Jan

Train's interview went well, he said. After that, we headed to the loop to look around for a bit and I ended up buying two books: Philosophy for Beginners, and Confessions of an Economic Hitman.

We had pizza from a local pizzeria in the loop called St Louis Pizzahaus and it was really really good :)

A fight broke out on the bus home, between a really sassy up-in-your-face black woman and a black man, just a bit after we got on. It was really crowded, and kind of scary. They got kicked off the bus, and apparently the lady was 'whooping tha otha guys ass' :/
I couldn't tell from their accents/dialect what the fight was about or how it even started.

We didn't do much else.

Stopped off at the dollar store on the way home and picked up a few bits and pieces.

I've spent a lot of money today.

  3. totally agree with both statements... CoaEHM is worth a read just to understand true evil in the money world! There is a better book written by Gabrielle something that is usually right next to this on in the library that tell the real truth about JP and his world bank/peace cops friends.

    John Perkins is now a "reformed money lender" who is working on "humanitarian projects" that will only be funded if you fund him... how nice!!!! He is a total waste of space and relies on donations to fund his life style... nice work if you can get it. You can help his cause by "getting everyone you know to read his book and setting up little groups that send him $ that he will try to direct into peace and reform" in the countries he screwed over for years!

    Hope your $ are MUCH better spent!!
    Cheers Ngarie

  4. Hahaha, oh goodness!
    I think I'll return it for store credit then, and look for something else ^^;

    I'm not sure if I could see that other book there- I had a pretty good look through the whole section- then again, I was at a little bookstore in town as opposed to a library. Next time we head to the library though, I'll definitely try to find it, thanks for the advice :)
